Happy Mudder's Day!

Sunday, May 08, 2005

Today was Mudder's Day (aka Mother's Day). Abby slept until almost 10! Boy was that nice. I got a KitchenAid Blender and the third season of ER. I must have been a good girl this year. Abby wished me a "Happy Mudder's Day Mommy" several times throughout the day. My little sweetie. We went to JD Hoyt's for Brunch with the Johnson's and to Grandma's for dinner with the Dawydenko's. And we took a nap. Eating and sleeping, that's all we did.

Now I Know My ABC's

Monday, April 25, 2005

Today, I started singing the ABC song all by myself. I just started singing it. I know all of my letters, except I always leave out the letter S. How silly is that?!

In the tubbie tonight, I pointed to Mommy's boobs. I asked what they were. She told me that they were her boobs. I pointed to my own and said, "I have little boots." I am such a silly-pants!!

ICE CREAM!! :0)

Tuesday, April 19, 2005

Today, you had your first ice cream cone from Dairy Queen. I know, it's been two whole year before that tasty experience, and you loved it. It was a baby sized cherry dipped cone. We failed to put a bib on you and boy did you make a mess!!

Oh, you got a new Pope today, Pope Benedict XVI.

Lucky!

Monday, April 18, 2005

You had a pretty good day today. Mommy got off of work early today. We went shopping at Michaels and then had to pick Auntie Julie up from work. Dave taught you to say, "I caught you a delicious bass, Lucky!" from Napolean Dynamite. You called me at work and told it to me over the phone. It was pretty silly!

You got mad at Daddy tonight and told him that it hurt your feelings. You also told Mommy you had to sit on the potty. You didn't go, but you tried.

Mommy's Little Stinker

Saturday, April 16, 2005

We were supposed to have pictures taken today. We decided to have a family picture in addition to your two year pictures because I wasn't happy with the way our Christmas pictures turned out. You had other ideas! When we got to Sadies, you wanted nothing to do with the camera. Every time we tried you cried. Mommy got very frustrated. The photographer that we had wasn't the nicest. She kept complaining because we were waisting time. She wanted us to re-schedule and didn't want to put any effort into getting you happy for your pictures. Little stinker. We'll try again in a couple of weeks...and you looked so cute today!

My visit to the doctors...

Monday, April 11, 2005

Today you went the doctor's for your two year check-up. We switched to the Staub Pediatric Clinic. You saw Dr. Waller. We got right in at our appointment time. The nurse asked us a bunch of questions, and not ten minutes later, Dr Waller was knocking at the door. You instantly took a liking to her. She spent about 45 minutes with us. She asked us a bunch of questions, and talked to you. She thought you were pretty funny. You kept saying, "Hi Dr. Waller! I'm real healthy!" She examined you and talked to you and the two of you colored on the exam table paper. I think it was one of your best doctors appointments yet! When she looked in your ears, she said she saw kitties and that they say Meow. You thought that was preety silly. You had to have your finger pricked for blood. She cried for two seconds when they pricked it and then you actually watched them drop blood from your finger into the little vial. You were braver than Mommy ever was! You cried the most when they put the bandaid on. How silly is that!

My little songstress

Saturday, April 09, 2005

I think I say this a lot, but you never cease to amaze me. You started to sign a few new songs in the past couple of weeks. A couple of your favorites: Put Down the Duckie (If you want to play the saxophone), Rubber Duckie (You're the one, you make bath time lots of fun - You sing this very animated-ly), Abby's world (Your own rendition of Elmo's world...Abby loves her blankie, her turtle too! That's Abby's world!) and last but not least, the Sesame Street Theme Song (Sunny days, sweeping the clouds away). You are getting SO big. I can't hardly believe it.

You go to the doctor's on Monday for your two year check-up. You are convinced that Dr. Waawer (Waller) is going to give you crayons. This will be your first visit to her and to this clinic. I hope you like her. We have been talking a lot about it. You talk about how she is going to look in your ears and listen to your heart.

I am considering taking some online Medical Transcription courses and working from home. I miss you so much while I am at work. My manager isn't so nice and I am just tired of it. I feel like I am missing out on so much. If this works out, I would be able to volunteer with your class when you start nursery school next year. Right now that would never be an option.

I think you may have some seasonal allergies. It has been so nice outside, and you have started sneezing like crazy...ad you show no signs of a cold.

"Tobber Toys"

Thursday, March 24, 2005

Daddy had first responder class tonight, so the two of us hung out tonight. You actually started to clean up your toys all by yourself tonight! You made mommy so proud! You only did it because I told you that you couldn't take out other ones until the original mess was cleaned up, but you still did it! Good girl!

When we left Grandpa and Grandma's today you said that you wanted Chicken Nuggets and a "Tobber Toy" for dinner. Funny how you pick up on things. You wanted McDonald's Chicken Nuggets, french fries, Choca-Milkies and a toddler toy to round things out. Silly girl.

Party Girl

Tuesday, March 22, 2005

Today you had a birthday party with your friends at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I heard it was lots of fun!

Daddy had an appointment today for his Echocardiogram. When he went in, they said everythig looked great. They also said that he has a normal sinus rhythm. That was a nice surprise. As long as it doesn't go back into Afib, he shouldn't need the cardioversion. Very good news! We went to dinner at Friday's to celebrate. You were a very good girl, except that you threw a french fry and it hit the guy at the next table over. He was a daddy, so he understood and wasn't angry.

You started singing the Elmo's World song..."La La La La, La La La La, Elmo's World. La La La La, La La La La, Elmo's World! Elmo loves his goldfish, his crayon too. That's Elmo's World!" It was so super cute!!

Party Pooper!!

Sunday, March 20, 2005

It's 8:54 and you are in your bed screaming. For some reason you do not want to go to sleep tonight.

We had your birthday party yesterday. Daddy woke up feeling dizzy and sick to his stomach. Mommy took him to urgent care. The doctor sent him for an EKG. We found out he has an arterial fibrilation. His heart beats erradically. The doctor put him on blood pressure medication and asprin. He is supposed to go back to the doctor tomorrow for his referal to a cardiologist. I'm a little scared, but what I have read about it, makes it sound fairly common and not life threatening. He missed your party and he felt really bad about it. We had it at Grandma Barb and Grandpa Willy's. You got so many presents! You were pretty crabby while opening presents.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Thursday, March 17, 2005

You know, you are just the sweetest little girl ever. You just came running up to me, telling me you needed a kiss. I leaned down and gave you one. Then, you told me you had to go. You'd be right back. You had to go get lunch for Abigail and Mommy too! You are so thoughtful.

Auntie Jessie and Dave are coming over to make your birthday cake tonight. I think we are going with a round layered cake. Chocolate with strawberries in the layers and whipped cream frosting (if it turns out). I can't believe you are going to be two years old!! We are going to have your big birthday bash on Saturday. A week before your birthday, I know, but Easter is the day before your birthday this year, so we didn't have a choice.

Abby's Sick

Friday, March 04, 2005

You started running a fever. We took you to urgent care to make sure your cold hadn't developed into something worse. You still just have a cold. The doctor said your fever should be gone in the next day or two.

Mommy's Sick

Tuesday, March 01, 2005

Today Mommy went to the doctors. She found out she has Pneumonia. She has a really yucky cough. She's not feeling so well.

Ambitious

Mommy stayed home from work today. Daddy dropped you off at Grandma and Grandpa's. On the way there, you told Daddy that you wanted to go to work with him. Then, you saw a school bus and you told Daddy you wanted to go to school. Daddy asked you about it and you said you wanted to go to school and go to work after.'

Daddy had an MRI done on his knee today. He will go back to the doctor on Wednesday and get the results. He will most likely have to have surgery to repair what the doctor thought was a torn Miniscus.

Your newest thing is telling Mommy and Daddy that you are bigger and older. You say, "I bigger." "I older."

Little Stinker

Monday, February 28, 2005

Boy were you a little stinker today. Mommy had to work the food and wine show again. I wasn't feeling good and got off of my shift early. You and Daddy came and got me. Daddy had to help Matt & Jennifer get their new computer hooked up, so you and I stayed home. You were whiney and just a little stinker.

Abby's Day Out

Saturday, February 26, 2005

Today Mommy and Daddy had to work the food and wine show. You spent the day hanging out with Grandpa Willy and Grandma Barb. You got to go sledding, watch movies and play. You also took Great Grandma Ev to church. You met Sister Bev. She said you look so much like Mommy! You called us on the phone to chit chat.

It Be Fun!!

Friday, February 25, 2005

Today we went to meet Matt, Jennifer and Maddie, so Daddy could help them pick out a computer. On the way, you saw a big snow covered hill. You said, "Go sliding, It be fun!!" We had dinner at Outback Steakhouse and you were such a good girl!

Mommy's Little Crab Cake

Boy were you crabby today! You didn't take a very good nap, and you still aren't feeling so good. And, now Mommy is sick. You fell asleep during the 5 minute car ride home from Grandma Barb and Grandpa Willy's. I had to wake you up to get you in the house. It didn't take long before you were fast asleep in my arms again. Today was Grandpa Tom's birthday, so we had to wake you after a short while to go celebrate. You weren't happy, but you did cheer up.

Other big news of the day, You woke up this morning and went potty on the potty chair - big girl! AND Baby Cousin Dylan Good made an early arrival. We looked at pictures on the computer and you said, "Cute Baby Dylan!"

Enough for now, it's time to cuddle and go night night.

Not Feeling So Hot

Wednesday, February 23, 2005

You have a nasty cold. When you woke up this morning, you had all sorts of yucky snot dried on your face. Poor girl. You didn't let it get you down though.

Twinkle Twinkle

Monday, February 21, 2005

Daddy and I have the day off. The two of you were just singing Twinkle Twinkle Litte Star. Your singing is SO cute!

We are going to be heading to Home Depot. We are starting our bathroom remodel and the old wallpaper isn't coming off so nice. :0( I think we are going to rent a steamer. Hopefully you won't be learning any naughty words from us cussing in the bathroom from frustration!!

We made up a song and it goes like this, "I hate Wallpaper. Wallpaper is not my friend." Mommy and Daddy weren't having too much fun peeling wallpaper. You started singing along, except when you get to the "not my friend" part, you sing, "Wallpaper is my friend".

Potty Time

Sunday, February 20, 2005

Today after your tubby you told Daddy you had to go potty. The look on your face when your potty made the tinkle music was priceless. It was a look of both surprise and pride. When you finally did stand up (it took a little while). Daddy looked, and you did indeed go potty. We were both so proud of you. You had an M&M treat, and then called Grandpa Willy and Grandma Barb. You told them both that you went potty. Such a big girl!!

After dinner tonight, you took Daddy for a walk. You wanted to go to the dentist. You and Daddy walked back and forth from the front door to the back door yelling, "I need a dentist. Is anyone there?" You are so silly! You never cease to amaze me little girl!

A Pineapple Under the Sea

Saturday, February 19, 2005

Today you met Sponge Bob Square Pants and Brother and Sister Berenstein Bear. We went to the Twin Cities Children's Expo at the Convention Center. You seemed to enjoy it.

Your friends (Matt, Jenn & Madelyn, Jason & Kara, Colleen & Juan Carlos, and Auntie Jessie and Dave) came over for game night. You were so excited to see "baby Madewin". You wanted to hold her and kept giving her kisses. The two of you are going to be wonderful friends, I just know it. We brought your old activity bar out for Madelyn to play with. You wanted a turn. When Madelyn was done, you layed down on the blanket and played with it like you did when you were a baby. You have grown up so fast!

Mommy's Little Cop

Saturday, February 12, 2005

Today we went to Sam's Club. You were sitting nice in the shopping cart. We walked by another cart. There was a little girl standing in the back of it. As we passed, you looked at her and said, "You little girl, sit down...That's naughty." We went to Cheesecake Factory for our early Valentine's Day Dinner. While waiting for a table, we walked around Southdale for a little while. Daddy let you "drive" the Mini Coopers. You had so much fun!!
